Evie was excited to start back at dance this afternoon. She is thrilled to have three friends from school in her class and was all smiles when I left her in the studio. We love our ballerina!
Evie looks suddenly older here! Glad it was a great return to dance. We lost a few girls from last year and picked up two young newbies who did a lot of running. Hopefully Avery will still learn through the madness. And to answer your question, our schools do reading workstations, which are learning based centers focused on language arts. We meet with guided reading groups while the kids do workstations. Very nervous about getting it started in K! No more traditional centers like blocks, housekeeping, etc. at least in my county. Not enough play in my opinion and is making me thing hard about K for Avery.
I have been married for 10 adventurous and amazing years to the greatest husband ever. I am mommy to a beautiful daughter, Evie and an adorable little boy, Henry. I love quiet time, milk chocolate, fun books, rainy days, glass bottled coke, cooking and all things pink! I loathe cell phones at the table and being late. Follow along with a snippet of our life.

ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet, happy face!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer! Steve is at Teacher's College to become a high school math and chemistry teacher. Hopefully he enjoys this new career!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've been a busy bee too! So different from the baby days, eh?
