Week in Review!

It's been a looooong week at the Niemeyer Nest! Cable woes, sickies, and whining galore.TGIF!

Monday: I love Monday's. Everyone is refreshed from the weekend and we have a predictable schedule. Evie has dance which is always fun. Carl was out of town so we just had pancakes for dinner.

Tuesday: Henry woke up feeling a bit under the weather then I became sick. It was a major struggle to get Evie to school because I was so sick. So thankful, her school is less than five minutes from our house. Henry cooperated by taking two naps. Carl's flight got in late so he arrived home after the kids were asleep.

Wednesday: Our most productive day of the week! Henry and Evie selected their Halloween costumes. It was so much fun taking them and made me remember being a kid myself.  I accomplished so much around the house which always makes me feel good. Carl had a busy day at work and arrived home after the kids were asleep.

Thursday: Henry started his day at 5:00 and had a morning nap at 7:30. Both kids went to school and I was able to run a few errands. Evie and Henry had fire drills at school and it made a big impact. Evie told me that we needed a safe spot in case of a fire at our house so we have one now! After school, we played with the boys and then went on a walk with Carl when he got home early from Knoxville. It was a nice cool October day with plenty of sunshine.

Friday: It was a rainy, gloomy day perfect for lounging in bed but both kids were up early because of the thunder. We had a play date at our house with Leah and Eddie. It was a fun morning relaxing around the house. Leah is invited back to our house anytime because Evie took her first nap in nearly a month. That made for a happy Mama! All three of us took a little snooze. We needed a few groceries and some diapers so I loaded everyone up for a trip to Target. It went really well and was quite pleasant for about ten minutes. Then, Evie asked me for about 5 million different things. Apparently, she thought that everything in the store was calling her name. Sweet Girl did not get any treats or prizes because Operation Boot Camp has commenced to cut down on the whining and the incessant requests. Carl was able to scoot out of the office a bit early after his crazy week. We just ordered pizza and are looking forward to a nice low-key night with our family!

Happy Friday, y'all!

  1. I hope everyone is feeling better. Avery is in full-on baby talk mode and it is driving us nuts. I keep telling Ned that I need to find some kind of helpful book, but I think what I mean is a magic book. I love Evie's striped dress in the first picture. They are my favorite for Avery because they are easy and soft. Have a great weekend!

  2. I kind of wish I could have a dress like Evie's!
