Sunday!

I finally figured out the secret to sleeping better while pregnant . . . . separate beds! It makes a HUGE difference for both of us. Too bad, I did not realize this sooner but it's great for now. I woke up super early because the sun comes up pretty early in Nashville. It was totally light by 5:30 this morning so I did a few things around the house before we left for early church.

Evie was excited to see play-dough in her class and I was excited for the air set super low in the church. Carl was excited that my water did not break at church. He told me afterwards that he was worried about that happening during communion.  I was exhausted and took a nap at 11 while Carl took Evie to Home Depot. They got tons of mulch and Carl spent the day in the yard. I guess he is nesting too. Evie slept for 4 hours and I tried to find a diaper cover for Baby Boy! I finally got one so that can be crossed off my list. All of our diaper covers are either pink or have Evie's monogram on it. Not the look we are going for with the newborn pictures!

Carl hung some pictures for me and one of the pieces of glass broke during the process. I was not too happy about this but it's not that big of a deal. It only required four trips to the store to get the correct frames which is part of what annoyed me about it. Pregnancy hormones make everything seem like a big deal. I am still real teary so this did not help. Carl promises it will be taken care of before baby comes home.

We watched a few home videos of Evie which made the tears flow again! It is amazing how quickly children change. A year has made a tremendous difference but I can even tell a big difference on a month to month basis with her looks. I hope that I can soak up the newborn stage even on the hard days because it sure goes by quickly. Evie loved seeing herself as a baby just as much as we did!

  1. The funniest thing about Emily's tree hugging obsession is that she'd rather do that than play in the giant playground or splash pad nearby. Ha!

p.p.p.p.s. I loved reading about how you and Carl met! Congratulations on your 6 years of marriage!
