Playdate and Tree Time

Evie and I hosted a play date this morning and had a really big turnout. It was fun but we do better with smaller crowds. Evie told a few people "bye-bye" before it was time for them to go. That made me laugh! I had fun talking with all the moms and the kids were so well-behaved. They must know that Santa is watching them!

   Evie and I both napped since we had a big night out planned. Carl came home and we headed out to get our Christmas tree. We always get a tree at Home Depot and have always had great luck. Evie had a blast checking out all the trees, seeing the lights and playing in the clippings. We gave her the tiny piece off the top and she thinks it is her own tree. Our tree looks great but our lights are not working this year. Guess, it's time for a few new sets.

  Looks like we could borrow a few sets from one of our neighbors since they have really decorated their yard. Evie loves it and her whole face lights up when she sees all the lights. It's not the best picture but you can get the idea.

  Evie was exhausted from our busy day so she headed off to bed while we waited for the pizza to get here. It was a long wait tonight because they were so busy. We had fun relaxing on the couch and now it's time to get a few things done before bed. Happy Friday!
