Friends are so much fun!

Here's a peek at one of our Christmas pictures. This is not the one we chose for our card but it's pretty cute. It's so hard to get a quality picture of all three of us at once. Evie had a great night! Mommy is feeling much more rested. Evie is not so sure about frozen waffles. She prefers her Poppy's waffles. Me too - they are yummy.

Evie had two friends come over this morning with their mommies. Cassidy and Logan came for a playdate. It's such a hoot to watch them all play together now. I think Evie likes having people her size here. We got to talking and lost track of time. No wonder our babies were fussy, it was their lunchtime. Evie was ready to eat. She watched the dogs next door destroy their bedding while she ate. Living next door to puppies is a great reminder of how much work they can be!

Evie was tuckered out from her playdate so she went right to sleep. We went to run a few errands after nap. Our contractor came over to chat with me about some kitchen ideas. Evie was NOT pleased to see him. She screamed and turned bright red. Jim has lots of experience with kids so he did not mind at all. He told me that he can tell that Evie is held a lot. Evie is the happiest on my hip with her birds eye view of the world.

Carl got home and we went for a walk. Evie took her pretzel with her. She did not want to leave it at home so she snacked while we strolled. Carl loves this weather so he was so excited! We saw seven deer at the park. They were beautiful.

It's a perfect night for chili! We just finished dinner and Carl is playing with Evie. It's nice to be back in our routine.
