Evie has been in such a good mood today. She's so happy but she is still so wild! I literally run after her all day long resucing her from precarious situations and sometimes rescuing objects from Evie. Evie is a bookworm and will still for a minute to read a book or two. I left her on the couch for a minute since she was reading so nicely. She was making more noise than usual so I went to check on the little reader who was standing on the couch while delicately tossing her books behind the couch. She was so JOYFUL that it was hard to reprimand her. Multiple times per day she is told that couches are for sitting but it has not sunk in quite yet.
Evie got some new shoes today and I just love them! She is so proud of herself and modeled them for her Daddy this afternoon. I spent Evie's entire nap time making Chicken and Wild Rice casserole for the dinner swap that I am doing with my friends on Wednesday. I felt like a member of the Duggar family and cannot imagine cooking for such a HUGE crowd every night. Every single pot in my kitchen was dirty, most of my spoons and multiple bowls. My kitchen was a disaster but I completed my task and cannot wait to swap dinners. It will be so nice to have some new delicious dinners without having to cook them myself. My casseroles are all lined up in my freezer ready to go.
Carl took Evie for a run while I did a few things around the house. It was a nice break for me and Carl loves running with Evie. We had one of the casseroles for dinner tonight and then I went to run a few errands. Carl was on Evie duty and tomorrow will be my turn. Hope your week is off to a great start!

What a great idea for a dinner swap!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to do a dinner co-op like yours! I can't wait to hear what the other dishes are! How nice that you & Carl can trade like that! Where did you go for your errands?
