Evie's 2nd Birthday Party!

What a day it has been for the Niemeyers. I am exhausted and am pretty sure everyone else is too. Evie's party was at Peek a Boo Playtown this afternoon. Sweet Birdie's Nest did our cute invitations! Check them out for your next event! They are fabulous and will create something perfect for your event.

We chose a Sunday for Evie's party because we will be out of town next weekend and Evie's good friend had his party yesterday. Sunday's are much less expensive days to have the party but the place was pretty crowded.  Everything is a trade-off. Tim told us he loved having so many people arround but I prefer smaller settings. Evie had fun with the ironing board, metal grocery cart and the doll house.

Evie woke up from her nap very excited to go to her party and chattered all the way to the party about her boys and Abby. She pointed to the neighbor's car on the way out and wondered if they were coming too and was relieved to hear that they were coming to her party.  Evie had fun playing but wanted me right by her side at all times. It was relatively stressfree having it a place like that but it's still a lot to keep up with.

Evie has so many sweet friends and it was wonderful to have them all in one place to celebrate her turning 2! She received lots of thoughtful gifts and had so much fun playing with everyone. I am thinking next year we will do a smaller party at home but I may change my mind since we will have a little baby boy. Evie's favorite part was eating the cupcakes and playing in the ball pit.

Evie and Abby  had fun playing with everything after everyone else had gone home. We walked over to Moe's for dinner and had a blast. Evie and Abby had fun looking at each other across the table although they did not eat hardly a morsel of food. That must be part of being 2.

Evie was excited to see all the presents made it home with us and she opened a few before bedtime. Evie had a fun birthday party and is looking forward to doing it all again next Sunday on her real birthday!
