Problem Solving Playdate

Evie and I stayed home most of the day. We were not terribly productive but we had fun cuddling in bed reading stories, eating playing with playdough, watching KneeBouncers, and eating peanut butter toast. Our morning went really well until about 11:30 and then Evie was just not happy anymore. She was crying and screaming which made me cry so she tried to give me her pacifier. That turned everything right around!

Have you ever heard of Knee Bouncers? It's a really great website for toddlers. Amy told me about it so we checked it out this morning. Evie was so impressed and learned a few new words during our first sessions.

Evie went down for her nap and I did a few things around the house. I woke Evie up to go to her friend Cassidy's house for a playdate. It was good to see everyone. Cassidy and Evie were really into the babies. Maybe just a touch too much interest.

Evie and I stopped at Super Supper's to use our Groupon. I am sure Carl will be thrilled with my new found fascination in meal prep franchises. He is not a fan and prefers Niemeyer dinners to any of the prepared stuff. Sometimes it is nice to just pop dinner in the oven so I can keep entertaining Evie.

We stopped at Chick fil A to use our free chicken sandwich coupon. I got a lemonade/ ice tea split - that's what they call it there. Most people call it an Arnold Palmer. It was so delicious and refreshing! I got Evie some carrot salad to eat for dinner but she was not a fan. She prefers eating bread dipped in ketchup topped with slightly mushed cucumber. That Evie is such a culinary genius!

  1. I recall having a delicious meal at your house when you all were in Raleigh and it was from one of the meal prep places. I wonder if Phillip would be in to those?!?

  2. I was just going to leave a comment, and then noticed who left the previous comment. Philip and I grew up in the same small town and church in the mountains! He was a year or 2 ahead of me in school. Small world, eh?

Anyway, I was going to tell you that Autumn is totally in to the 'dip phase' of eating too--ketchup and ranch are her favorite dips. Sometimes cucumbers are only a means of getting the dip to her mouth and she'll spit them out after getting all oft he dressing off of them. Other times she gobbles them down. Mealtime is such an adventure at this age! Still enjoy your blog so much!
