Sunday!
Well, Evie made it the entire night in her new room with no problems! I was not expecting it to be difficult but some people's comments had made me a little nervous that maybe I was underestimating the change. Evie was up bright and early a little before 7 which is unusual for her. She demanded "two drinks" before she was even out of the crib. This, my friends, was foreshadowing for the rest of our day. Evie has been a tad demanding all day! She does love to have two drinks in the morning - oj and chocolate milk. It drives me a bit crazy but she drinks them both every morning. Evie gets enough liquids for all of us!
We decided to go to early church since we were all up anyway. Evie did not even shed a tear at drop-off which is always a good thing and was well-behaved at communion. Although, she did give the priest an unfortunate look when he was blessing her. Oh well, that's just Evie.
We stopped at Krispy Kreme on the way home. Evie loves doughnuts and talks about the "doughnut store" a lot. It takes her 300 years to eat one doughnut unlike her parents that scarfed down four doughnuts in less than 2 minutes.
Carl changed some hinges for me on a cabinet when we got home and Evie and I played a little. We had a little picnic outside - hot dogs off the grill! YUMMY! Evie loves hot dogs but did not touch it at lunch because it was in a bun.
She napped and I did too. Last night, Carl and I made some sweet tea to use for Arnold Palmer's and the caffeine was too much for me. I slept for nearly two hours this afternoon and then slipped out to Target quickly while Carl and Evie watched the Master's.
Evie was thrilled to see me but the novelty wore off quickly. She is a handful but is such a sweetie too. Carl taught her how to Eskimo Kiss while I was gone and when I got back she ran to me saying "milk kiss" which was so sweet!
Weekends are fun but for some reason I am always more exhausted after the weekend activities than I am during the regular week. Hope you had a fantastic weekend!
love evie's hair in the first picture - - and that last picture of her....GORGEOUS! Who do you think Evie looks like? i can't ever decide....i think she looks a lot like you, but i see some of her daddy in her, too.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what your little boy will look like. isn't it fun to think that baby #2 could look like you, carl, evie, or even someone else in the family?!
Beautiful pictures! I am now craving donuts and hot dogs:) So glad Evie's first night went well. My little Campbell has been voicing demands all day too. These 2 are 2 peas in a pod!
ReplyDeleteEvie is precious these pictures. I am loving her pink and am glad she is doing well in her new room. Maybe she could give Avery some pointers when we move. How does the turtle light do? Avery is obsessed with stars these days.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment, Jennifer! I love looking at pregnancy pictures too (including yours!). Emily didn't have any problems with the switch to her new room either, glad to hear the transfer was smooth for Evie as well.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how old Evie looks in her 2-year-old pictures. She's precious!
