Evie loved the fair! It was certainly an adventure but so fun to see Evie experiencing the fair. We have taken her every year but this was her first year riding rides. Our first year at the fair, Evie could not even walk yet. Last year, she was running but I was too nervous to let her ride. Carl and I were not sure what to expect with Evie on rides. Evie surprised us all by loving every ride requesting "another one" after each ride. We saw lots of crying toddlers being removed from rides and I just knew that would be Evie. She just kept riding! I rode the carousel and the tea cups with her. Of course, we all had to indulge in some delicious fair food. I had some tasty lemonade that Carl watched them pour a 1/2 cup of sugar into my portion. That's what it made it so tasty! Uncle Ben helped out with pushing the double stroller. That thing is heavy but it sure is easier than lugging two kids through the fairgrounds. Evie is going to be on television! She had a microphone tucked into her little apron during the farm exhibit and the camera girl followed us through as Evie learned about being a farmer. Hopefully, we can catch that segment on television!
Henry thought the fair was an excellent napping venue! He snoozed pretty much the entire time that we were there. Poor thing was sweating like crazy and has heat bumps all over his sweet little face. I just knew that Evie was going to take a great nap after our adventurous morning! Nope, all that sugar had her all keyed up. Mommy escaped to see The Help while Ben and Carl held down the fort. Bedtime was super easy tonight and maybe if we are lucky she will even sleep late tomorrow morning. Carl just took Ben to see the Honky Tonk's in Nashville. It's been a great Saturday!
What a fun day! You are incredible to do the fair with 2. We were disappointed today that our fair got rained out. So glad you got to see The Help. We went Wednesday and I'm ready to see it again.
I have been married for 10 adventurous and amazing years to the greatest husband ever. I am mommy to a beautiful daughter, Evie and an adorable little boy, Henry. I love quiet time, milk chocolate, fun books, rainy days, glass bottled coke, cooking and all things pink! I loathe cell phones at the table and being late. Follow along with a snippet of our life.
