We took a day off from our activities to recuperate from our wild weekend. Evie has been exhausted! She took a morning nap and I had to wake her up so she would take her afternoon nap.
Kristin and Jacob came over to play and for an early lunch. We had chicken salad sandwiches, fruit and chips. Simple but tasty! Evie picked out some ice cream cone shaped cookies for dessert from Whole Foods. They were yummy. I gave Jacob a little bite and his entire face lit up like a Christmas tree. It was priceless. We had a fun time visiting with our sweet friends.
Evie and I did a few things around the house and played with her dolls before her nap. She took a really long snooze and then I think we tried every activity in our house for about one minute per activity. We painted, colored, played with dolls, hung out in the bathtub, practiced our fine motor skills lining the cupcake pans and tried to keep busy inside. The sweltering heat is back so we had to stay inside but we had a nice day. Evie's Nana made her baby doll a cute set of pajama's which occupied large portion of our day as Evie played dress-up with her doll.
Carl came home and took over Evie duty while I went to get my hair cut. They shared a cookie for dessert so Evie had her share of sweets for one day. She takes after me in that department so we monitor her intake but do not consider them off limits.
Carl is watching the World Cup and I need to get busy preparing for the local consignment sale. I am consigning to get the early shopping pass in hopes of getting some good stuff for Evie. It's so hard to part with the babystuff so most of my items will be housewares along with a few things that are just not my style.

I love to consign so I can shop early, too! This past time I didn't though since I was pregnant and I just used the pregnant pass to get in early!:) I hope you find some great items!
