Banana Bread and Birthday Party!

Evie and I made some banana bread for breakfast. She just loves those beaters. It's so amusing to see her make the connection that something interesting is about to happen. I have so many banana bread recipes so today we made the sour cream version. It makes it so moist and delicious.

We mostly hung around the house today enjoying being together. I went to the gym and Carl took Evie running. Evie napped and I did too. Hopefully, I will still be able to sleep tonight! Evie woke up so C.R.A.N.K.Y. but perked right up after a little bit.

Evie's friend Declan turned one and we helped him celebrate. His parents grilled some burgers and had a fun balloon man. Evie was so impressed with her balloon wand because it had little balls inside of it. This made her so happy since she is pretty much obsessed with balls. Carl was watching the World Cup today and the ABC logo was on the screen. Guess who thought that was a ball. Anything round is a ball to Evie even a circle. She loves when I draw circles for her and I love it too because it entertains her nicely.

Of course, the cake was the highlight of the party. Evie devoured her piece. Carl enjoyed meeting all of my mommy friends. He hears about them so it is good  to put a face to a name.

We just love this weather! It's so cool and there is a slight breeze. Doesn't quite feel like the Fourth of July! Declan lives in the neighborhood right next to us so were discussing if we can see the Crockett park fireworks from our backyard. We all think that that we can so our plan is to walk over to check out the scene and hear the live music then head back when Evie is ready for bed. She loved the fireworks last year but she also fell asleep in my arms since she was only 5 months old.
