HOT, HOT, HOT!

Evie gave us another anniversary present . . .  she slept until 8:15. We were not expecting that since I put her to bed at 6:30. She must have been a tired little girl! Carl and I had a great date at Stoney River in West End. We usually stay in our own neighborhood so it was fun to go explore another area of town. Too bad, we spent our entire dinner blowing our noses. Romantic!  Dinner was delicious and we enjoyed getting away for a bit.

   We all hung out around the house. Evie had a slight fever so I am pretty sure she has what we have. Although, the pediatrician assured me it was just drainage from her ear infection. My mommy instinct does not agree with his diagnosis. She seems to be doing fine except she cannot blow her nose.

   We decided to go out to dinner tonight to practice for our vacation. Evie rarely goes out to dinner because she goes to bed so early.  Mellow Mushroom is a great place to take kids because it is already loud, there are lots of kids there and most kids like pizza. Evie did great with the exception of throwing some food on the floor but she does that home. She really liked our waitress because she gave her a pen. Evie is obsessed with pens and loves to write little notes. However, she does not stay on the paper so we have to limit her pen use. We walked around downtown Franklin for a bit after dinner and checked out a few places. Evie loved hearing the birds and being able to walk since we did not bring her stroller. Carl wants to keep Evie up late to see the lightening bugs so hopefully she will make it. She will love seeing the lights on the bugs!
