Evie slept late this morning because Carl did too. He had an appointment at 8 so he did not leave the house quite as early. Evie cooperated for me and took a nap. That helped me so much because it was our turn to host the Koala playgroup at our house. It was mad rush to get the food prepared, the house clean and for me to get ready by 10:15 . I woke Evie up a few minutes before everyone got here and we were ready to go! We had a full house but it was so fun. I served sausage and cheese muffins which were delicious. Lindsay made them for me several years ago and I still remember them. They are seriously that good! We also had raspberry danish and fruit. I cut some hydrangeas for the table. They looked beautiful! Everything turned out really well. It's always fun to hang out with her other kiddos and their Mama's.
Sausage Muffins:
3 cups of Bisquick
1 cup of cheese, shredded (Don't be lazy - be sure to shred your own. It's worth the extra time.)
1 pound of sausage, browned
1 can of cheese soup
2/3 cup of water
Mix everything together and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350.
Evie had so much fun playing with her friend especially Paige. She likes the big girls! {aige can move in as far as I am concerned. She kept Evie happy and entertained. They played with the xylophone, grilled out, ate together and took a dip in the pool. Evie went in the pool in her clothes so we had a quick costume change. She was worn out from all of this play. We are all a bit under the weather so it was good day to hang out at home. After nap, I took her outside to see the new playhouse that our neighbor Claire gave her. It's so BIG! We are still not sure where it's going quite yet. She thinks it's pretty great. Her favorite part is the phone. Evie made herself right at home so it looks like it's here to stay!

Those sausage and cheese biscuits sound so good. That playhouse is going to provide hours of entertainment.
