Bright and Early!

We started our cabinet project today and the painters got here super early this morning. They arrived before Evie woke up this morning. Not sure why it was necessary to get here quite so early. They sanded the cabinets and painted the first coat. We think they look a lot better already.

Evie slept through most of the day. She was one tired little girl. Maybe her new tooth is bothering her but she seems fine other than lots of naps.Evie's favorite part of the day was helping me cook dinner for Carol in the den. Well, the kitchen was not in working order so the den was the next best place to cook dinner. We made Lindsay's famous roast with ranch dip, au jus and Italian dressing. Mix it all together - add some water and cook on low for 6 hours or so. It can be a little salty but it's delicious over mashed potatoes or even rice. Try it, I promise you will be hooked. Leftovers are even better!

We went to Carol's for a playdate. It was fun to see everyone. Cassidy, Logan and Evie had fun playing together. Carol said that every toy at her house makes noise. That's so funny to me! Cassidy has lots of fun toys.

We got home later than expected and our kitchen is pretty much out of commision. Darn, I could not cook tonight. Carl made me a grilled cheese and he had some soup that I had frozen. It will be nice to get back in the kitchen. It's hard to steer clear of the kitchen since Evie eats 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. If she's not eating, then I am cleaning up what she just finished eating.
